The Chambers Court Poultry Farm redevelopment consisted of the demolition of 7 poultry houses and replacement with two live work units.

The landscape masterplan proposals look to improve the setting of the Grade II Listed Chambers Court and provide significant enhancement to the environment of the local dwellings.

The proposals involve a sympathetic regeneration of the site with first class sustainable design and major landscape enhancements including reintroducing orchards using species of local provenance and historic importance, and ridge and furrow wildflower meadows for biodiversity & nature conservation.  A new entry sequence with an avenue of dawn redwood trees and post & rail fencing tie into the existing landscape framework.

The scheme was approved in 2006 due to the circumstances in support of the proposals including significant improvement to the local landscape, the enhanced setting of the Listed Building, environmental benefits for local residents and sustainability measures which enabled the Development Plan policies to be outweighed.
