Hackney needs 180 new school places over the next 5 years with innovative ways required to fund new school places without government funding.
Nightingale Primary will provide up to 420 places and will be a high quality new educational facility, delivered at no cost to the taxpayer.
The proposed mixed-use development, for residential and educational use results in a project with a variety of external spaces for the school and a large communal terrace for the residents.
High quality residential accommodation faces onto Hackney Downs with multi-level private terraces and larger communal amenity including doorstep play provision.
The school is rationalised to encompass a series of play decks to the south that create a wide variety of spaces for learning outside the classroom.
